It\u2019s been one hell of a&nbsp;year. I\u2019ve learned so much! I&nbsp;can cer\u00adtain\u00adly see my growth from book to book. Each one I&nbsp;write ends up being my favorite,\u00c2&nbsp;so now I&nbsp;have to say that it\u2019s my favorite \u201cso&nbsp;far\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wyoming Solace<\/strong>. My baby. My first\u00adborn. I&nbsp;start\u00aded writ\u00ading this sto\u00adry back in 1990. Yeah, I&nbsp;know. I&nbsp;did the math. :p I&nbsp;did\u00adn\u2019t write faith\u00adful\u00adly, or even con\u00adsis\u00adtent\u00adly. My edi\u00adtor at the time Dean\u00adna Pryce spent a&nbsp;lot of time with me, and broke me of a&nbsp;lot of bad habits. One of my ear\u00adly issues was the overuse of adverbs. My final edit\u00ading project was to search for the end\u00ading \u2011ly and hack them in half. Some sen\u00adtences had two and three in there! So I&nbsp;like to describe things, okay!?<\/p>\n<p>One year, and five books.
