Now we wel\u00adcome 2013 with open arms! I know I expect great things from the com\u00ading year. To recap 2012, I thought I\u2019d share some of my favorite GOOD<\/span> things that hap\u00adpened in 2012, in no par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar order:<\/p>\n

August, 2012. Gab\u00adby Dou\u00adglas, the 16 year old gym\u00adnast who helped win USA<\/span> Gold in wom\u00aden\u2019s gym\u00adnas\u00adtics. I was glued to my television.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

UN<\/span> Goal Achieved! The goal of reduc\u00ading by half the num\u00adber of peo\u00adple with\u00adout access to safe drink\u00ading water has been achieved well ahead of the 2015 target.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Novem\u00adber 6. After four states moved for\u00adward toward equal\u00adi\u00adty, these two ladies got their offi\u00adcial mar\u00adriage license in WA<\/span>. Congrats!!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Even from all the bad news in the world, the good sto\u00adries emerge. Like Mr. Rogers said\u2026\u201clook for the helpers\u201d. I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve looked for\u00adward to a clean slate much more than I have this year. 2013 is going to be amaz\u00ading!
