Wel\u00adcome! I\u2019m hav\u00ading a real hard time with putting Novem\u00adber in that title. I swear we just had Valen\u00adtine\u2019s Day! This year is pass\u00ading so quick\u00adly! Sor\u00adry I missed last week\u2019s update, but \u00c2 I was in the mid\u00addle of a blog hop with a ton of oth\u00ader authors, so I put the sta\u00adtus on hia\u00adtus. Now I\u2019ve got two weeks\u2019 worth of news to share. Kin\u00adda. Check out that wood pile. I\u2019d be afraid to use any of that wood and ruin the work of art!<\/p>\n

Work in Progress News ~<\/span> I did it again. I start\u00aded a new book before fin\u00adish\u00ading the one I was work\u00ading on (or the oth\u00ader eight in the IP<\/span> file) I wrote over 2K<\/span> the first day I start\u00aded it, so it felt good to get some words in. This one is filed as Grant, and it will be a short sto\u00adry by Olivia involv\u00ading a boss and his employ\u00adee. I like to have shorts in the IP<\/span> file, so if I fin\u00adish this one first, I\u2019ll have to come up with anoth\u00ader plot to keep my balance.

Back\u00adlist News ~ <\/span>Retreat<\/a> got a very nice five star review this week over at Man\u00adic Read\u00aders<\/a>. \u00c2 Alber\u00adta \u00c2 says \u201cI loved this ten\u00adder and very poignant love sto\u00adry, Retreat that has loads of con\u00adflicts, dif\u00adfer\u00ading goals that must some\u00adhow mesh if they are ever to find hap\u00adpi\u00adness togeth\u00ader. I loved Jake as a mod\u00adern day hero who would do any\u00adthing to get Andria back in his arms. Five Stars.\u201c\u00c2 <\/em>Retreat is one of the books I wrote at the same time as two (maybe three?) oth\u00aders, and so often I for\u00adget that I even had any\u00adthing to do with it. It\u2019s like my shy qui\u00adet child being raised amongst wild monsters.<\/p>\n

Indus\u00adtry News ~<\/span> Ama\u00adzon announced its Kin\u00addle Own\u00aders\u2019 Lend\u00ading Library, which is a ser\u00advice for Prime mem\u00adbers only, and not every pub\u00adlish\u00ader is on board with this, but think of Ama\u00adzon as a dig\u00adi\u00adtal library. Where you can only check out one book per month. And you have to be a club mem\u00adber to get in. But no late fees! I think it\u2019s a great idea, and I hope my books are in the KOLL<\/span> for the \u00e9lite Ama\u00adzo\u00adni\u00adans out there. (Look\u00ading into this) Barnes and Noble made their own announce\u00adment. It seems that with the mid-month release of the Nook tablet (rumored to be $249) , the Nook col\u00ador mod\u00adel will drop in price to $199. That\u2019s good news for the nook\u00adies out there!<\/p>\n

Search Term of the week aka How Peo\u00adple Found My Web\u00adsites ~<\/span> This week Olivia got this one: \u201cdot to dot pic\u00adtures erot\u00adic\u201d. I spent about five min\u00adutes star\u00ading at that search term, won\u00adder\u00ading what the per\u00adson was actu\u00adal\u00adly look\u00ading to find. Then I start\u00aded won\u00adder\u00ading if there were any out there. Then I got a piece of paper to make my own. Then I thought about my kid find\u00ading it and actu\u00adal\u00adly doing the dot to dot. \u00c2 Then I shook my head.

What I\u2019\u00c2\u20ac\u00c2\u2122m read\u00ading ~<\/span> I read Cat Grant\u2019s Once a Marine this week. This comes from the brand new dig\u00adi\u00adtal first pub\u00adlish\u00ader Rip\u00adtide Pub\u00adlish\u00ading<\/a>. After read\u00ading this, and now that they\u2019ve opened sub\u00admis\u00adsions, I might just see what I can do to write some\u00adthing wor\u00adthy. Once a Marine is a love\u00adly sto\u00adry about a Marine dis\u00adcharged under DADT<\/span>. This book is writ\u00adten in first and third per\u00adson, that is to say the first per\u00adson point of view for Marc, one hero, and the chap\u00adters in the oth\u00ader hero Cole\u2019s point of view are writ\u00adten in third. You\u2019d think this would be con\u00adfus\u00ading, but it isn\u2019t, it was very smooth. Once a Marine is get\u00adting rave reviews, and is a best\u00adseller at Ama\u00adzon. Cat sure did a great job mak\u00ading Rip\u00adtide look awe\u00adsome for their launch.<\/p>\n
