This week\u00adend I\u2019m cel\u00ade\u00adbrat\u00ading not only Earth Day, but the release of my book FLIPPED<\/span><\/a>. The heroes in this male\/male romance are in the process of flip\u00adping a house for a prof\u00adit. That\u2019s like recy\u00adcling, right? I fig\u00adured they prob\u00ada\u00adbly also take advan\u00adtage of the nice spring weath\u00ader to hang their laun\u00addry out to dry rather than put them in a machine. After my day\u00addream about men doing laun\u00addry, I wrote this scene:<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>We\u2019re going to have the neigh\u00adbor\u00adhood coun\u00adcil knock\u00ading on our door tomor\u00adrow.\u201d Carter rolled his eyes as Mario pinned his Super\u00adman box\u00aders on the line next to Carter\u2019s blue jeans.<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>What, because we wear underwear?\u201d<\/p>\n

Carter reached into the laun\u00addry bas\u00adket full of their damp cloth\u00ading, and pulled out Mar\u00adi\u00ado\u2019s G\u2011string. \u201cThis hard\u00adly qual\u00adi\u00adfies as underwear.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mario snatched the gar\u00adment out of Carter\u2019s hand. \u201cI only wear that with my leather pants, and you know it.\u201d He raised a dark eye\u00adbrow. \u201cYou\u2019ve nev\u00ader com\u00adplained before.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carter wrapped his hand around Mar\u00adi\u00ado\u2019s, crum\u00adpling the fab\u00adric between them. \u201cI\u2019m not com\u00adplain\u00ading now.\u201d He tugged the man clos\u00ader, until their chests met. \u201cI just want to be the only guy who gets to see them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mario tossed the G\u2011string back into the bas\u00adket and slipped his fin\u00adgers beneath the waist\u00adband of Carter\u2019s shorts, secur\u00ading their hips togeth\u00ader. \u201cI had no idea you were such a jeal\u00adous guy. I guess my lit\u00adtle dirty dance with Lewis last night real\u00adly got your gears grind\u00ading then?\u201d<\/p>\n

Carter closed his eyes at the mem\u00ado\u00adry of Mario rub\u00adbing up on the big old\u00ader guy while lights flashed and music blared. Now\u2013as then\u2013Carter\u2019s smile even felt naughty. \u201cI know you too well. Dur\u00ading the entire extend\u00aded play remix, your eyes nev\u00ader got that glassy desire-drugged look that they do when you\u2019re real\u00adly turned on.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>Ah, you\u2019re wrong there.\u201d Mario nipped at Carter\u2019s ear\u00adlobe. His warm breath sent chills down Carter\u2019s bare back and arms. \u201cI remem\u00adber get\u00adting very turned on.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>Yeah. When you saw me watch\u00ading you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>Yes. You sat there with that cat-who-got-the-canary grin, drink\u00ading that dis\u00adgust\u00ading ale\u2013\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>You love that ale.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>I love the way it tastes on you, but I\u2019d nev\u00ader drink it straight.\u201d Mario flicked the but\u00adton on Carter\u2019s shorts free, and start\u00aded work\u00ading on the zip\u00adper. \u201cI want\u00aded to crawl onto your lap right there.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>Is that why we end\u00aded up in the back seat of your car in the bar park\u00ading lot?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>It\u2019s also why the neigh\u00adbor\u00adhood coun\u00adcil will be knock\u00ading on our door.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carter licked Mar\u00adi\u00ado\u2019s lips. \u201cMaybe we should fin\u00adish hang\u00ading the laundry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mario took a step toward the house, bring\u00ading Carter with him. \u201cAnd maybe the laun\u00addry can wait.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
