Préjà Vu

Available from Liquid Silver Books
ISBN: 978-1-59578-601-2
You know the feeling, something vaguely familiar … but what if it isn’t something you’ve experienced before, but a prelude to an upcoming event?
Ryann Phillips has it all together. She’s a successful architect with her own home and true friends. What she also has, are nightly dreams that eventually come true. Little snapshots into the lives of people she doesn’t know. She’s used to them. Attorney Trevor Kearney finds it hard to believe that his current client is the subject of Ryann’s latest vision, that of a violent murder. He reluctantly agrees to help Ryann prevent this one premonition from taking place. What he doesn’t count on is this particular psychic’s ability to make some of his own dreams come true.

Thanks for happy dancing with me on Release Day. I hope that those of you who read Préjà Vu enjoy it! Drop me a line, I’d love to hear from you. But for now, sit with me and toast Ryann and Trevor’s coming out party.

Happy Anniversary To Me!

Wyoming Solace by Alanna CocaSeptember 28th, 2008 I signed my first contract with Liquid Silver Books. It’s been one hell of a year. I’ve learned so much! I can certainly see my growth from book to book. Each one I write ends up being my favorite, so now I have to say that it’s my favorite “so far”.

Wyoming Solace. My baby. My firstborn. I started writing this story back in 1990. Yeah, I know. I did the math. :p I didn’t write faithfully, or even consistently. My editor at the time Deanna Pryce spent a lot of time with me, and broke me of a lot of bad habits. One of my early issues was the overuse of adverbs. My final editing project was to search for the ending -ly and hack them in half. Some sentences had two and three in there! So I like to describe things, okay!?

One year, and five books. I think that calls for some blackberry brandy.

Blurb:

You can’t get blood from a stone. That’s what Maureen Sullivan’s mother always told her, but now it’s collection time, and bill collectors aren’t after blood; they want money. At this point, she’d do just about anything…for a price. To get her mother out of the red, Maureen packs her tiny nest egg and runs to Las Vegas, hoping for a miracle.

Once in Sin City, Maureen’s Aunt Lottie shows her that the fastest way out of a financial hell doesn’t lie in Maureen’s luck at a blackjack table, but in the auction of a much more controversial commodity: Maureen’s virginity. Vegas is the perfect place to cash in. What they decide to do will not only make headlines in the Nevada city, but around the world.

The last thing Maureen needs right now is to fall for sexy Nicholas Webster, who’s used to getting everything he wants. Because when the time comes, she’d have to betray the man she’s come to love in order to fulfill her contract. Will she be able to sell herself? And at what price?
