A Warm Easter Fuzzy

The Easter Bunny brought me a warm fuzzy! Just Erotic Romance Reviews, aka JERR’s newsletter came out on Easter Sunday, and Stefani gave Fine Print 4.5 stars!  Here’s what she had to say:

Kara Sorrento has life by the balls, and if that doesn’t include a man, well so be it. She would like to have a baby though, and tough and thorough as she is, Kara has worked out the perfect solution to her little man-less problem. Now that she has found the perfect man, all she needs to do is convince him to agree. Derek Martinez can’t believe the petite blond had the nerve to ask him to father her child. The fact that she wants him to sign a contract, well Derek isn’t planning to follow her rules, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t going to share his DNA with her. First he has to break through her ice-cold facade, and then just when he thinks he is making progress, someone from her past shows up and throws them all into a world of danger.

Fine Print is the first story I have read by Ms. Coca, but it will not be the last. I love this story! Kara Sorrento’s character was a bit irritating at the beginning, but the more she opened up, the more I understood her. She is guarded but determined. Who doesn’t admire a woman who knows what she wants? When what she wants comes wrapped in an all around amazing package as Derek Martinez, well Whew! Need I say more? He is amazing, a great guy and brilliant at negotiating that contract. There were several secondary characters including Kara’s sister Kris who was a fun character and I would love to read her story one of these days. Sexually, Kara and Derek made my toes curl. There were a whole lot of romantic escapades and the foreign setting was perfect for the storyline. I can’t say it loud enough, for an awesome erotic romance grab a copy of Fine Print. You will be glad you did!

Thanks Stefani! Glad you enjoyed it. Fine Print is available in ebook and print, just click HERE for more information.

What's Going On?

A whole lot of things, and a whole lot of nothing. I’ve started yet another project. That makes number seven that I’ve started in the past four months. Some of these I’ve only written five thousand words, others up to fifteen thousand. I write until another story starts screaming to be written. I suppose I’ll get them all finished eventually.  A few projects for Olivia, a few for Alanna. Sometimes we switch in the middle. No, I don’t have multiple personality disorder. Yet. I suppose there is time.

Presently, I’m working on a 30k contemporary western, a joint project with two other authors. We’re hoping to get three western shorts together for an anthology. More information as that develops.

I’m taking part in a progressive story blog hop on Groundhog Day, 2/2/10. I was assigned to chapter one, which means I have to wait to see what the rest of the authors on the tour will do with the story I set up. It should be a great time, and I expect some laughs when romance authors join forces with horror writers. Check back here on 2/2 for chapter one, and I’ll link to chapter two and so on.

Another blog tour on Valentine’s Day weekend. This one will be huge, already over thirty bloggers have signed up for this one. Thanks to Michael from HartShine Design, this one will be a guided tour. Want to learn more? Bookmark this page, this is where we’ll post the link to the tour launch page. Tons of prizes are up for grabs, so mark your calendars…you don’t want to miss this one.

Fine Print

Fine PrintI finished my latest manuscript, and even came up with a suitable title. You’d think that would be the hard part about writing right? Wrong. Now you send your pride and joy, the work you’ve spent the past two months on (sometimes more) then wait for someone to tell you that while your book is “cute” it isn’t “quite what we’re looking for.”

So I send it on. One house’s cute is another’s book of the week, right? That’s what I’m telling myself anyway. Following is a blurb for Fine Print. Hopefully I can announce some kind of publishing contract soon.

Three years ago, Kara Sorrento’s husband died in the line of duty. The fact that they never started a family is the one thing that she can’t lay to rest. Knowing that she could never love again, Kara decides to conceive a child in a more…non-traditional way. All she needs now is the ideal DNA, and she’s found it in Derek Martinez. Physically he’s a perfect specimen, with dark features so much like her late husband’s. Then Derek suggests changes to the insemination contract, and he threatens to disrupt not only her plan, but Kara’s entire highly structured and ultra-organized world. She would be required to let down her guard and join the living, no matter how vulnerable that would make her. She can do it, she’s a strong woman. It shouldn’t be that hard to resist Derek’s charms. She’d just have to think with her head, and not her heart. When ghosts from Kara’s past surface, Kara isn’t sure that she can trust her heart anyway.

Sounds cute, huh?
