Well, I know I was posting six sentences of my work in progress, but I think I was boring you to tears, so it’s time to move along.
This week I’m sharing six sentences from my first novel, Wyoming Solace. An historical western love story set in the Snowy Range Mountains here in Wyoming.
Since when was laundry such an enjoyable chore?
Elise stooped beneath the shade of a cottonwood, drenched with soapy water and her own perspiration, but she’d never felt better. She remembered her maid Amelia crouching over the laundry tub. Although she never complained, nor accepted Elise’s offer to help, the job didn’t look exhilarating in the least. Now, she took out years worth of frustration on the canvas work pants, which filled her with a sense of accomplishment.
A strand of blonde hair escaped her braid, and she brushed it from her cheek with the back of her hand.
It’s nice to revisit my older stories. Like old friends meeting for coffee
Have a great week. See you next Sunday! Again, visit the other SSS participants HERE.

Welcome back!
Another big list of SSSers today. Good gravy, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get to all of the sites like I used to!
Brynn groaned. “Was it bad?”
“Naw, but I shaped them into my initials. I like to leave my mark you know.”
She rolled her eyes. “Go. I want water.”
“I knew you were going to come out of this with your diva intact.” Cade chuckled on his way out.
Be sure to check out the other SSSers on the Official Website!

Welcome! I’m like #90-something on this linky list, so I know you’ve got plenty to visit.
Okay, on with the story. Brynn has just awakened from surgery after being stabbed in a hotel parking lot.
“You’ll be happy to hear that the only damage done was to your TVA. The knife hit right in that gap between your stomach, pancreas, and liver, missing everything important.” He winked. “I was hoping I’d get to donate a kidney or something, make you indebted to me for life, but it didn’t work out that way.” He pressed on her stomach, and Brynn winced. “Good…perfect. I closed you, so you can thank me for your beautiful scars.”
That’s it for me! (Don’t count sentences…) If I have any medical professionals, please don’t judge! This is a rough rough draft so I could have some stuff wrong lol. Have a great week everyone.

Welcome to SSS Alanna Style! And Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone! I won’t chat much, I know there are lots of posts this weekend, so I won’t take up too much time. Continuing the story with Brynn’s friend Susan by her side in the hospital.
“They can’t talk to her now, she just woke up. Tell them they can’t bother her.”
Cade ignored Susan. “I’ll let the nurses know you’re awake. They’ll do the whole,” he threw up air quotes, “comfort thing.” Cade snapped the blood pressure cuff to the instrument on the wall, and as it did its job, he pulled the blankets back to check her bandages.
Okay, these six sound rude, but I don’t think Cade would talk to just any patient that way. At least I hope not! Off you go…many more sixes to read! Find them all at the Official Site.

Welcome!
Back for more SSS? I’m still catching up from last week! I don’t think I’ve made it to all participating blogs in weeks.
Okay. On with the story:
Brynn felt the uncharacteristic urge to cry.
Cade checked the fluids attached to her IV. “Susan’s right. The police are right outside the door. They’re waiting to talk to you. You might as well just tell it once.”
Short sentences. You got ripped off! Sorry guys. I don’t make the rules.
Have a great week. Be sure to visit the other SSSers at the Official Website.

Welcome back! I hope you’re enjoying your tour through the fabulous SSSers out there. Get the whole list of participants at the Official Site.
Okay, on with the never-ending story…
“Don’t talk anymore Brynn. Save your strength.” Susan gripped Brynn’s hand. She had no family to worry over her, and now she didn’t even have a husband and the promise of children. Susan was her rock. Her flighty, fluffy, sometimes silly rock.
That’s it for me. Have a great week everyone!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you mothers! Too bad I don’t have a motherly post today, just more from my stalled work in progress. Continuing from last week:
“Hurts…here,” she whispered.
“You’ve been through a little bit of hell Brynn. We got you all fixed up though.” Cade shone the light into each of her eyes. “You’re going to be pretty weak for a while, you lost a lot of blood.”
The bright light zapped her energy, and she closed her eyes until the stars stopped popping behind her lids. “Stabbed…”
That’s it for me. I’m spending my Mother’s Day working for The Man. Send chocolate. Be sure to check out the other SSSers on the Official Website!

Happy Sunday! As usual, I’m at work, while you are all enjoying the plethora of posts. I hope at least one of you said “Awwww” just now. For those who did, you’re my favorites.
On with the story:
Cade stood beside Susan, and pulled out a pen light. “Feeling any pain?”
Brynn assessed each body part. She was weak, the same way she felt after a five kilometer run. Without training. She touched her stomach, and even through the gauze and cloth tape, she winced at the pressure.
Hm. Six really aren’t enough sometimes. Maybe we should have sixteen sentences some days, just for kicks
All right. Be sure to visit the other SSSers at the Official Site. Have a great week!

Happy Easter! I hope you’re having a great weekend, filled with chocolate and marshmallows. Or maybe spiral cut ham and turkey!
I’m also involved in a blog hop! If you would like a chance to win a plethora of prizes including a Nook, join me at the JustRomance.Me Year of the Rabbit hop. Lots of SSS participants are there, and we had fun with a random story generator.
Okay, on with the story:
As though an outside source was required to make her body behave, her eyes opened. It took a minute for the room to come in to focus.
“Oh my God. Brynn. You’re alive.”
Brynn moved her eyes to her friend. Susan’s blue eyes were wide as saucers, her face pale and tight.
“Hey lady. Gave us quite the scare.”
That’s it for me. Thanks again for stopping by! I’ll be chatting this evening at Gem Sivad’s Chat Room at 7pm EST if you’d like to join me. Nothing to join or sign up for, just click to enter the room and chat with a plethora of authors and readers. Hope to see you there, and “meet” you
Howdy! Welcome back for six more of my WiP, a romantic suspense on my back burner until I work out a plot twist. Sometimes being a pantser is tough, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
She hadn’t realized how cold she was until she felt Susan’s warmth. “I heard that. Did you hear it Doctor Jensen?”
“Yes,” Cade’s voice was less frantic than Susan’s, and he no longer sounded like he was a bad recording. “Brynn? Come on now. It’s time to wake up. Open your eyes. Brynn…”
