Fine Print Gets Top Pick

.

.

Fine Print was reviewed over at Night Owl Reviews, and Mary gave my contemporary romance the Top Pick seal! Here’s a little of what she had to say:

Man Derek Martinez is one hot guy worth having even for a little fling. These two were great and man the passion between them is hotter than ever. Alanna definitely has a hit with this one and I can’t wait for more from this talented author.

You can read the entire review here, and click on the book to see more information about Fine Print, including a book trailer, excerpt, and character biographies.

Reviewing Retreat

Nine months after its release, Retreat finally gets a review! Not sure why it took so long, I guess these review sites are overwhelmed. Check out what Melinda thinks:

“I love it when an author writes about second chances especially with characters like Jake and Andria. These two were great when they were younger and now as grownups they are even more passionate than ever. The chemistry is still there and there’s hope for more in their relationship. Andria’s little girl and Jakes are like sisters meant to be and great matchmakers in every way. I loved that they are confused in what to do now when their passion comes back for one another. Alana did a beautiful job in making their relationship stronger yet still memorable in every way. Loved it.”

Read the entire review HERE and more about Retreat HERE. I’m back to writing, currently as Olivia. Edits should begin soon on her contemporary western with Carina Press. That should be fun!

Congrats!

Congratulations go to Stephanie, the winner of Preja Vu from the Fill-Your-Ereader Blog Tour yesterday. Also, I drew a winner for my weekly ebook giveaway, and congrats go to Andrea who chose Retreat. (Good choice, since Andrea is the heroine’s name in Retreat!)

This morning I was pleasantly surprised to find a smiley face in my in-box. Preja Vu was read by Seriously Reviewed. This reviewer gave Preja Vu a 9 for the story, and another 9 for presentation, for a final score of 18/20.  Here is the review:

“HOLY CRAP!!! Let me start by saying that I was skeptical when I first grabbed this one. Though the blurb was interesting it didn’t just reach out and grab me by the nose…..BUT once I got started reading, I just couldn’t stop!!!
What a nifty little mystery with some sexiness right smack dab in the middle! By page 30 I thought I had it all figured out. I was sure I knew who the bad guy was and I was just waiting for the shoe to drop. BOY HOWDY did I get thrown a curve ball!
Ms Coca, *SNAPS* you did a great job! Totally kept me involved and interested and then WHAM! gave me a big shock! LOVED IT! I will be looking for your name in the future :)

Thank you Seriously Reviewed! I’m glad you enjoyed Preja Vu. Scroll down a bit for a small excerpt and pictures of Trevor Kearney, the hero who falls hard for Ryann.

We’re already planning a weekend-long blog tour for Valentine’s weekend, so you’ll be able to spend time with your honey, and also get in on some great eye candy and amazing ebook prizes. More information to follow, so keep checking back, or click on that little rss feed there in the upper right hand corner of this blog page. No…a little to the right….yeah there ya go.

Alright, back to the word processor, the characters are calling.

AdamI’m combining todays HDH with a little book pimpage. After looking at the pic of the model for the cover, I don’t think you’ll mind. This is Adam. He’s the hero in the book Falling Star by my alter ego Olivia Brynn.

Falling Star releases Monday, 12/7/09, and to celebrate, friend and fellow author Gem Sivad is hosting a chat party! Stop by Gem’s Place on Monday 12/7, I’ll be there starting at 7pm eastern. I hope you’ll join me. I’ll bring Adam along…

Retreat in Print

Click to shop for a paperbackI promised to update here with the new print version of Retreat. It’s all done, and does it ever look good. Again, many thanks to Amanda Kelsey, who worked her cover magic again, and created a full wrap.

I do love epublishing. It’s environmentally responsible, easier on the pocket book, and provides immediate gratification. Still, seeing my baby on paper makes me feel like a proud new mommy.

Retreat is available now as a POD now (click on the book) and coming soon to online bookstores.

Does this call for a glass of brandy?

Of course it does. Cheers!
