Evil Editing

Okay, that title makes it sound like I hate editing. Really with the right editor, it doesn’t have to hurt.

I’m done with round one (and a half) of edits for Retreat. I do a lot of piddly things that my poor editor Sharis Mayer has to correct. It seems I have an unnatural affection for the semicolon. Overall, it’s going well, and we should be finished soon, and then we start on Olivia’s Falling Star. Sharis is going to be sick of me before long 🙂

I started a new book, still untitled, and the only characters with names are the antagonist and the sexy hero. I use “filler” names until I can come up with something, so right now my heroine is Jane Doe. It’s pretty irritating when I read back through a chapter.

Don’t forget the Labor Day Blog Tour that starts right here on Monday September 7th 2009. Over a dozen lickable laborers will be on hand for your viewing pleasure! I’ll post some more information closer to the date. You can win this grand prize, which will keep you busy for quite a few government holidays.
